Similes

I was leaning about similes. I know that we describe using our senses,and we compare two things using like or as. It was easy to think of things that are similar.

Making a word plan.

Reflection

I was leaning to make a word plan. I know that a word plan has a topic and 3 or 4 ideas. I learnt that I can use a word to help me with my writing. This is easy because I just describe the topic.

Blends

Reflection

I am learning about beginning blends in words. I know blends have 2 sounds. This is easy for me because I know how to spell short words.

Describing Fireworks

We have been learning to:  

• use interesting words (wow)
• use describing words and verbs
• use our senses, (what we see, hear, feel etc)
• use a language feature like: onomatopoeia, similes

Daffodil Diamante

Learning to Plan my Writing

I am learning to use a plan to organise my ideas for writing.

I will be successful when:

• I plan my ideas before I write
• I use quick pictures and words
• I think of first, after, next
• my writing includes the ideas from my plan

I think I can do it.  I could think of the ideas and write them.  I just used words.  Tsung Wai 10.04.17

Independent Writing

In Room 5 we are learning to write independently. 

Look what I can do all by myself.

I Can Recognise and Write - BIG and little.

My story - Yesterday I played with my notebook.  It is big.  The buttons are little.  I wrote the story in my book and then Mrs Kerr published it on the laptop and I could choose my tagul shape and my colours.  I like writing but sometimes it takes me a long time to think about my story.  I am getting faster now.

I Am Writing!

First I need to think about my story.  I can draw my picture.   I can copy the day like, Thursday.  I write a sentence to match my picture.  My teacher can help me. Sometimes my friend can help too.
