I felt nerves when I was saying my poem.

I am leaning about making inferences.
I know that making inferences means looking foe clues in a book.
It was easy because I saw a lot of clues.

Prefixes and suffixes

I was learning about prefixes and suffixes.I learnt that I need to look for the root word.I know that prefixes are at the beginning of the word like redo.An example of a suffix is playing.

Summarising

Reflection

We were learning to summarise.  We learnt that summarising could be about saying who, where and when.  Summarising is saying the story in short.  It is thinking about the beginning, middle and end.

Learning to identify the main ideas in a story

I am learning to:

• identify the main ideas in a story
• discuss the beginning, middle and ending of stories

Reflection:
It's hard to retell the story because sometimes it takes a while.  I like doing easy books, shorter stories are easy.  Tsung Wai  23.11.17

Learning to identify phonic letters and sounds within words

This term I have been learning to:

• identify phonic letters and sounds within words
• identify high frequency sight words 
• use Reading Eggs to help me learn to identify sounds 

I was learning to spin the wheel to match the items and look carefully 
to find the words to match it.  It helped me to read words.  In my reading
I'd like to "read and then do a quiz and try to remember stuff it was"

Tsung Wai "I like to go on the puzzle park and I like to do the second word find. There are lots of puzzles and word finds to do. I have to do all the levels to go onto the next lesson."

Choosing a Book to Read.

I am going to the Pakuranga Library to choose a book to read at my house.

I Can Read!

I am trying to read the hard words.  I can look at the pictures to help me.  I can look at the sound and try out the word.  I like to read.
