My Pattern.

We are learning to make a pattern that continues.  If we make a great pattern, we can give it to our friends and they can finish it off.  They can figure out what comes next in the pattern. 

"My pattern is blue, yellow, red, blue, yellow, red.  The next block would be blue.  I can make a pattern with the beads too.  I like patterns because I like to build it up and see what it looks like."

I Can Read!

I am trying to read the hard words.  I can look at the pictures to help me.  I can look at the sound and try out the word.  I like to read.

"I can read by myself.  I can read in my group.  I like reading about wheels."

I Am Writing!

First I need to think about my story.  I can draw my picture.   I can copy the day like, Thursday.  I write a sentence to match my picture.  My teacher can help me. Sometimes my friend can help too.

"I write on my first day.  I am good at writing because I know all of my letters and I know lots of words too.  I write a lot of letters and that is a word."
